Sandra Daggett

Sandra Daggett is a “semi” self-taught custom cake decorator, chocolatier, and a Certified International Sugar Art Judge. Sandra has been in the sugar arts industry for over 30 years. She has been blessed to have been taught by some of the best in the sugar arts industry. With the knowledge that Sandra has received she has then gone on to compete in several shows locally and nationally where she has won First place, Best of Divisions, Best of Show, People’s Choice, Best of Borders and Best in Royal Icing Technique awards. Some of her pieces have been featured in local newspapers, American Cake Decorating Magazine and several ICES publications. Sandra Daggett is known for her Lambeth work and other forms of string-work. She currently owns and operates Northwest Cakes located in Oak Harbor, Washington on Whidbey Island, where she works as well as offers hands on classes. She is one of five state inspected home based bakeries located in her area. From December 2015-February 2016, Sandra served on the Cottage Food committee to assist in reviewing and revamping the Cottage Food Laws for Washington state, which went into effect by the Governor in February 2016. She has had the pleasure to serve on the Board of Directors for the Cake Decorators of Tidewater, in Virginia as Secretary from 2012-2013. She has been a member of ICES, International Cake Exploration Societe, since 2011. A member of WASSA, Washington State Sugar Artists, since 2014. She was the President of WASSA 2017-2018 until the club was dissolved in June of 2018.  Sandra served briefly as the Vice President of the PNW Sugar Artists Club in 2018 and is still a current member. In August of 2017, Sandra, was voted by the other members of ICES in Washington state to be the state Representative which she served until 2021. When Sandra Daggett is not working with sugar or taking care of her family you can find her cross stitching, crocheting, knitting, flying airplanes, hot air balloons, or attending one of her children’s sports games.
